Banana Crisps

Ingredients

  • 2 large peeled bananas (firm is best)
  • 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • almond extract
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp water
  • vegetable oil, for deep frying

Banana Crisps

These sweet crispy banana pieces are great as a snack.

Preparation:

  1. Peel the bananas and cut diagonally into thin slices.
  2. Mix the chilli powder turmeric and salt into a paste with water and rub over the banana slices
  3. Heat oil to fairly hot and then reduce the heat slightly. Deep fry the banana slices until crisp and lightly coloured. Drain and when cool store in an airtight container.
