Fried Rice with Beef
A quick and easy meal to prepare with subtle Asian flavours.
Preparation:
- Trim the steak and cut into very thin strips with a sharp knife.
- Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan and cook the garlic over a low heat until golden (be careful not to let it burn). Increase the heat to high, add the steak and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Move the pieces of beef to the edges of the wok or pan and break the egg into the centre. When the egg starts to set, use a spatula to mix it with the meat and stir-fry for 30 seconds or so.
- Add the rice and toss all the contents in the wok together, scraping up any residue on the base, then add the broccoli, soy sauces, sugar and fish sauce and stir fry for 2 more minutes.
- Season and serve with the sweet chilli dipping sauce.
