Thai Style Beef and Pepper Kebabs

Succulent pieces of beef and red pepper marinated in a flavoursome and spicy marinade make these kebebas the perfect barbecue treat.

Preparation:

  1. Put the rice wine, sherry, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic, chilli, ginger and spring onions into a large bowl and mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Mix the steak cubes and pepper chunks in the marinade (ensure each piece is coated), cover with cling film and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight so the flavours can really infuse the meat.
  3. Once marinated thread the steak and pepper pieces alternately onto skewers.
  4. Berbecue the kebabs over hot coals, turning them frequently, for 10-15 minutes, or until the meat is cooked right through.
  5. Serve with salad and our Asian Light Coleslaw.

Useful tip:

If you are using wooden skewers soak them in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand. This is necessary to stop skewers from burning and meat from sticking to the skewers.
