Chicken Katsu Burgers

A Japanese favourite with a twist! Try our NEW Katsu Curry Meal Kit and whip up a Katsu Curry burger.

    • 1 Blue Dragon Katsu Curry Kit
    • Vegetable oil to shallow fry
    • 2 brioche burger buns
    • Lettuce leaves
    • A handful of sliced spring onions
    • A handful of sliced radishes
    • Flatten the chicken breast by bashing it with a rolling pin.
    • Mix the batter from the pouch with 70ml of water to get the consistency of single cream. Coat the chicken in the batter mix and dip into the breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Press firmly down so that the breadcrumbs stick well.
    • Heat the oil in the wok or frying pan and fry the breaded chicken breasts for 5 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through.
    • Warm the Katsu curry sauce in a saucepan for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    • Remove the chicken from the pan with a slotted spoon and leave to drain on kitchen paper.
    • Split and toast the buns and dress with lettuce and spring onions.
    • Slice the chicken breast diagonally into 4 or 5 strips and place onto the bun. Drizzle with the Katsu sauce.
